Join us for a lively discussion at Vivid Ideas 2019 with leaders in development, arts, and cultural relations – we ask how do we ensure our growing city is inclusive for all?

Vivid Ideas talk: Future Sydney

City development is taking place at an unprecedented pace. Today half the world’s population live in cities, with capitals and their regions playing an increasingly powerful and influential role on the global stage as powerhouses for trade and growth. Sydney is a Super Diverse city in the Top 20 Global Elite, rich in culture with a booming economy. But, how do we ensure our rapidly growing city is an inclusive place for all people?

The discussion led by the British Council’s Director Helen Salmon will be a lively and inspiring exchange of ideas drawing on leaders across the arts, urban development, and cultural relations. We’ll be looking at clever uses of technological innovation and inclusion from around the world, and how these link with the Sydney’s placemaking agenda.

Come join our conversation that is looking for answers on how we find new ways of connecting people, and how city leaders and city-dwellers can work together to create physical and digital spaces that are inspired and global.
