The ELEVATE StartWell™ Challenge is part of the British Council's widest-reaching and most ambitious new project, ELEVATE. Applications are open now, in more than 15 countries across Asia, including Australia and New Zealnd, as well as in the UK.
The Challenge, devised in partnership with Singapore philanthropy house The Lien Foundation, is looking for new, innovative and imaginative plans for play spaces for children aged 0-8 years.
Unlike other competitions of its kind, the ELEVATE StartWell™ Challenge is not just for urban planners, architects and engineers; this project wants to hear from ANYONE who uses creativity in their work and whose values align with the programme's belief that ALL kids, no matter where or who they are in the world, deserve a safe, stimulating and FUN place to play.
Applicants with the 12 best ideas from around the world will be united at a special ELEVATE Innovation Camp, to be held in japan in early 2015 and will receive professional training and development opportunities and a chance at scoring ELEVATE funding.

Applications are open until Monday 5 January 2015.
