ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM
British Council Seasons help to develop new audiences for British arts and culture around the world and allows us to rapidly develop relationships between the UK, major trading partners and important emerging economies. You will develop and implement Season activity aligned to the Country Director’s programme by working within cross-departmental and multi-location teams to deliver programmes within a large, complex international organisation, and with a key federal government partner
WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT
In 2022 the British Council will celebrate 75 years in Australia. During 2021/22 the office will deliver the UK in Australia Season of culture across the country, a six month long body of arts and higher education work focused on the theme “Who Are We Now”. The British Council’s work in Australia will be reciprocated by the Australian government which will deliver an Australia in the UK Season with the same theme from June – September 2021.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You should have a good knowledge of contemporary UK and Australian arts and creative industry sector and experience in event or project management which include budget management, reporting on income and expenditure, risk management. Experience in development of public engagement programs would be advantageous.
